Alleged sexual assault in Haryana school shakes female students and staff; prompts Child Welfare Committee involvement

JIND: The teaching staff and female students of a government school in Haryana's Jind are grappling with emotional distress following the revelation of an alleged sexual assault case. During a visit by TOI to the school on Monday, teachers shared the trauma they are experiencing.

Child Welfare Committee (CWC) officials also visited the school to educate the girls on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and how to seek help by dialing emergency numbers 112 and 1098 or lodging a complaint in case of inappropriate incidents.
