Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin isn't allowing himself any 'days off' as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. The French winger sat out of the Magpies' win over Brentford and the defeat to Aston Villa last weekend having spent time in France with a specialist.
He's due back on Tyneside this week ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's visit to St. James' Park, but it's unclear whether or not the Frenchman will be back in contention. “I’m not sure at the moment,” said Eddie Howe when asked about Saint-Maximin's fitness after the defeat to Villa.
"We’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully, we’ll know more in the next few days.”

The 26-year-old took to social media to share the latest stage in his recover, posting a video on a leg extension machine, working on strengthening his quads, captioning the picture: "I miss everything so much let's keep working to be back as soon as possible."
The French winger has impressed in recent outings for Newcastle with two assists in his last two outings - one against Manchester United in the 2-0 win at St. James' Park and another in the 5-1 win over West Ham. Saint-Maximin looked to be getting back to his best in a black and white shirt, but was hit with another injury blow.
He's already missed a large chunk of the season with a hamstring injury and has made just 20 appearances for the Magpies in the Premier League this season - managing 995 minutes of top flight action - averaging just 50 minutes per game.
