Allan Saint-Maximin gifted a stunned Newcastle United supporter a Rolex watch after the opening-day win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
The French forward was in a generous mood following the victory that was secured by goals from Fabian Schar and Callum Wilson. After the match at St James’ Park, Saint-Maximin went to greet the fans – and left one shocked when he handed over the expensive timepiece.
Steve Dutton shook the winger's hand and thanked him for his generosity before taking to Twitter to reveal he was the lucky Toon supporter. He posted on social media: "I was the person who was gifted the watch from ASM, I was totally speechless." He added: "I thought he was coming to sign autographs and have pictures taken with the kids. I’m still in shock, I can’t thank @asaintmaximin enough." It’s not the first time Saint-Maximin has dished out an expensive watch.
Back in November 2021, the popular 25-year-old handed Toon fan Michael Urwin a TAG Heuer Aquaracer. Saint-Maximin was clearly in good spirits after the opening English Premier League triumph as he posted out a tweet that read: 'Black & White for ever'.
