Allan Saint-Maximin back in the fold as Newcastle United supporters name XI to face Aston Villa

Newcastle United supporters would waste no time in bringing Allan Saint-Maximin back into the fold to face Aston Villa. It's the only change they would make to Eddie Howe's side that ran out 2-1 winners against Tottenham last weekend.

The French winger has not played 90 minutes since the draw against Wolves earlier in the season, with a brief cameo against Brentford curtailing his injury comeback. Speaking ahead of this weekend's game, Howe said: "Yeah there's a chance.

"We will see how training goes today. He has made really good progress and I am really pleased with how he's attacked he's rehab and the work he's put in. So there's an opportunity to get Maxi fit and available."

Black and white supporters would have Joe Willock drop out of the side in order to accommodate the French winger. Other than that, it's business as usual.

Nick Pope has been the go to man in between the sticks so far this season, with Fabian Schar and Sven Botman in front of him. Kieran Trippier has been as reliable as ever on the right-hand side of defence, while supporters are happy to stick with Dan Burn at left-back.

They want to see Joelinton drop back into the middle of the midfield to play alongside Sean Longstaff and Bruno Guimaraes. Callum Wilson is the man supporters want to see lead the line, with Miguel Almiron and Saint-Maximin on either flank.
