Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court today on Friday directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to clean the premises of Jama Masjid in Sambhal, as ASI had stated that whitewashing was not needed. 

The ASI has submitted a report mentioning that the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal does not need whitewashing ahead of Ramadan.
