AGRA: The Allahabad high court on Wednesday granted bail to three Kashmiri students who have been in jail for the last five months after being charged for sedition for allegedly celebrating Pakistan cricket team’s victory after a T-20 World Cup match in October last year.
The students, enrolled in Raja Balwant Singh Engineering College in Agra under PM’s special scholarship scheme for J&K students, were arrested on October 27 for allegedly sending WhatsApp messages against the country after the match.
