Allahabad HC dismisses PIL on UP CM’s 'real name', imposes Rs 1 lakh cost on petitioner

PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad high court on Monday dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking direction that chief minister Yogi Adityanath should be directed to take the oath of office of the CM again in his real name, as according to the petitioner different names were being used by him like "Adityanath", "Yogi Adityanath", etc.

Dismissing the PIL filed by one Namaha of Delhi, a division bench comprising chief justice Rajesh Bindal and justice Piyush Agrawal imposed a cost of Rs 1 lakh on the petitioner.
