An 'all you can eat' world buffet restaurant is opening up in Newcastle city centre.
COSMO Authentic World Kitchen has taken over the premises of the closed Lau's 202 Buffet House on Newgate Street. The buffet restaurant will welcome its first diners through the doors on Thursday, November 17, offering more than 100 dishes from around the globe.
Customers can choose from a range of Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Mediterranean food, as well as a daily carvery for a fixed price.
The Newcastle venue will feature a bar and a stylish 160-seat restaurant that has been inspired by five-star hotels from around the world. The opening has created 55 jobs and will mark the fourth COSMO restaurant to have launched this year.
Suzzanne Wink, head of operations at COSMO, said: “Newcastle is a vibrant and welcoming city filled with culture, and we’re excited to wow customers with COSMO’s stunning five-star surroundings and set prices.
"After three successful launches this year alone, we believe our success is due to constant efforts in fostering a culture of innovation through cuisine and design. Each and every aspect of our business is designed to deliver an exceptional customer experience that far exceeds expectations - it really is pure food theatre.”
