This year, we have two very intriguing upcoming Hideo Kojima games to keep track of, with a project that sounds every bit like a Metal Gear spiritual successor, along with a curious new horror game that promises to explore what it means to "overdose on fear". And with the release of one of the biggest PS5 exclusives of 2025 landing back in June of last year with Death Stranding 2, it's undoubtedly exciting to know we have some more new games to keep an eye out for in the future - even if we'll be in for a bit of a wait until they arrive.
Kojima has made a name for himself over the years as the creator and director of the Metal Gear series, but also has credits on everything from the likes of the Snatcher and the Policenauts, to producing Konami's Zone of the Enders and MercurySteam's Castlevania reboot. Alongside game design work on Boktai: The Sun, he even brought us a spooky playable demo in P.T. that refuses to leave our minds over a decade later. And as our Death Stranding 2 review can attest to, he's still bringing us memorable adventures.
