All traffic was stopped on the M60 near the Trafford Centre this afternoon (May 8) following a crash. The M60 anti-clockwise between J11 and J10 was blocked off with emergency services at the scene.
Highways North West reported there was over 3.5 miles of congestion, with live traffic cameras showing queues of drivers building on the southbound carriageway at around 2.45pm.
All traffic was held temporarily due to a collision involving a car. Traffic officers attended the scene to tow away the vehicle involved.

The carriageway remained closed off with all traffic held for around 20 minutes before reopening shortly after 3pm.
The North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police have been approached for details on the incident.
