Road closures will be in place on A52 in Nottingham as maintenance works are due to commence, it has been confirmed.
The essential safety maintenance works will affect a number of sections along the A52 between the M1 Junction 25 and the A1 at Barrowby.
This is to resurface several sections of the carriageway, refresh road markings, install high friction surfacing, replace traffic detection loops, and renew bridge joints.
The works will be taken in several phases, the motorways operator Highways England explained.
This project started in January and is scheduled for completion in March , working between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday.
The work is being carried out in phases as outlined below:
- Phase 1: Wheatcroft to Gamston
- Phase 2: Wheatcroft to Notts Knight Roundabout
- Phase 3: Queens Drive exit slip
- Phase 4: Priory roundabout to QMC
- Phase 5: Priory roundabout to M1 J25
- Phase 6: M1 J25 to Priory roundabout
- Phase 7: Bingham to Barrowby
