A number of road closures will affect areas around the M4 this week.
Several overnight closures will come into place this week February 28, with motorists in Newport, Cardiff and Swansea all set to be among those impacted.
It comes as two more areas around the busy M4 are reportedly being considered by the Welsh Government for reduced 50mph speed limits in a bid to cut air pollution.
Here are all the closures affecting travellers in and around the M4 this week.
- M4 westbound, junction 23: The M4 will be closed around junction 23 Rogiet overnight this week to allow for maintenance work. The road will shut between 9pm and 6am each evening between Monday night and Wednesday morning.
- M4 westbound, junction 24-25 : Overnight closures due to maintenance work will close the entry slip road of the M4’s westbound carriageway at junction 24 Coldra. The slip road will be closed between 8pm and 6am each night until Friday morning.
- M4 westbound, junction 42-43 : The M4 between junction 42 Earlswood and junction 43 Llandarcy will be closed overnight this week between 8pm and 6am until Saturday morning. This is to allow clearance work.
- M4 westbound, junction 39 : Maintenance work will close the westbound carriageway of the M4 at junction 39 Groes until Friday morning, closing between 8pm and 6am each day.
- M4 eastbound, junction 33-32 : Junction 33 Capel Llanilltern to junction 32 Coryton will be closed overnight this week between 8pm and 6am to allow maintenance work to take place, reopening on Thursday morning.
- M4 westbound, junction 22 : Junction 22 will be closed at the slip road from 10pm to 6am between Monday and Wednesday in order for roadworks to be carried out.
