All the new features coming to Dollywood after country icon’s death

  • Dollywood has announced plans to honour “dreamer-in-chief” Dolly Parton following her death at the age of 80 after a brief battle with cancer.
  • The theme park will introduce a new character named the Dream Maker, inspired by Parton's Imagination Library.
  • A chapel inside Dollywood will feature a new waterfall and stained glass windows reflecting her faith, while further additions are planned for The Dolly Parton Experience, a multi-building exhibit space dedicated to her life and career.
  • Parton's hometown of Sevierville is establishing a self-guided walking tour featuring locations that held significance to the singer.
  • Parton was earlier laid to rest at a private funeral in Nashville alongside her husband of 60 years, Carl Dean.
