Mobile speed cameras are in place across the city of Leeds in a bid to reduce accidents.
They are set up by West Yorkshire Police in cooperation with the West Yorkshire Casualty Prevention Partnership in known casualty zones. These are areas which are viewed as dangerous and so the cameras are set up to try to keep speeds down.
A laser is shone at the vehicles to determine their speeds. The vehicles themselves are not covert and can be seen from the road.
