A number of roadworks are set to take place along the M4 this week. Traffic Wales and National Highways have confirmed that roadworks and repairs will take place along several areas of the road in Wales and England, meaning disruption in the mornings and evenings.
The works are likely to affect those who are travelling in South Wales and the west of England, with commuters and those travelling early in the morning or late at night are also expected to be impacted. Here are all the planned works on and around the M4 for the week starting Monday, August 1.

The roadworks on the M4 in Wales are:
The M4 both directions between junctions 24 and 28: The road will be closed for improvement works between 8pm on August 1 to 6am on August 2.. Local diversions will be in place.
The M4 eastbound between junction 28 and junction 27: The entry slip road will be closed for maintenance work from 8pm on August 1 until 6am on August 3.
The M4 westbound between junction 41 to junction 42: The road will be closed for resurfacing work between 8pm on August 1 until 6am on August 8.
The M4 westbound between junctions 24 and 28: The road will be closed for maintenance work from 8pm on August 1 until 6am on August 3.
The M4 westbound between junctions 22 and 23: There are roadworks until 6am on August 8.
The M4 westbound between junctions 19 and 20: Emergency roadworks are planned from 10pm on August 1 until 6am on September 3.
The M4 westbound between junctions 22 and 23: There are roadworks until 6am on November 18.
The M4 westbound at junction 19: Roadside drains works are planned for 10pm on August 1 until 6am on August 6.
The M4 eastbound at junction 20: Roadside drains works are planned from 10pm on August 1 until 6am on August 6.
The M4 westbound between junctions 18 and 19: Roadworks are planned between 9pm on August 4 until 6am on August 5.

The M4 westbound junction 10: From 9pm on July 31 until 6am on August 1. Slip road and lane closures for vegetation clearance. Diversion via National Highways network.
The M4 westbound junction 2: From 10.30pm on July 31 until 5am on August 1. Entry slip road closure.
The M4 westbound between junctions 14 and 16: Unconfirmed emergency roadworks are planned. Disruption is expected every day between 9pm and 6am from August 1 to 3.
The M4 eastbound between junctions 7 and 6: Unconfirmed roadworks are planned every day between 8pm and 6am from August 2 to 5.
The M4 westbound between junctions 3 and 4: Unconfirmed road repairs are planned, with disruption expected every day between 10pm and 5.30am from August 1 to 5.
The M4 westbound at junction 19: Unconfirmed roadside drains works are planned. Expect disruption every day between 10pm and 6am from August 1 to 6.
