All the food hygiene ratings for cafes and restaurants on Gosforth High Street

High streets across the UK have changed dramatically in recent years - and while there may now be fewer independent shops, there are still plenty of places to eat.

And Gosforth High Street is no different. There are endless options with everything from bakeries and quick bites to curry houses and Italians - but how do you know what is best? Every establishment is inspected to see how good their food hygiene processes are - and we've done the work for you, taking a look at 30 places on the high street.

In the ratings, five is top of the scale, where standards are very good and zero is at the bottom, where urgent improvement is necessary. Each business is given a rating after an inspection by the Food Standards Agency with requirements, if necessary, on how to improve hygiene.
