Each week Bristol Live shares messages and tributes for those who have recently passed, or on the anniversaries of those who have been gone longer, right here on our page. They come in the form of death and funeral notices and these tributes tell of lifetimes spent together, adventures embarked on, loves that have stood the test of time and friendships that have made life all the more special.
Some of these tributes have been sent straight to the Bristol Post and this week we're listing those dated October 1 to October 7, in alphabetical order by surname. Ian Stanley Bishop
Ian passed away at Avon Lodge Care Home on September 27, 2022 aged 85. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held in the Waterside Chapel, Westerleigh Crematorium on October 20, 2022 at 2pm. Flowers welcome. Donations in memory of Ian for Parkinson's UK may be given at the service.
Mary Broom
Passed peacefully away at Southmead Hospital on Monday, October 3, aged 81 years. Now reunited with Alan. Much loved Mum and Nanny will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Helen, Michael, Andy, Charlotte, Gemma, Jay, George, Dolly, Olive and Nellie.

Passed away peacefully at Rosewood House on September 16, aged 91 years. Much loved mum to Pauline and Martin, Nan to Charlotte, Phillippa, Matthew and Rebecca, and Great Nan to Joseph.
A kind lady who will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral service to be held at Canford Crematorium Chapel on Tuesday, October 25, at 12:45pm. Family flowers only. Donations in aid of the Alzheimer's Society may be given on the day, if desired.
Claire Evans
Missing you as always. Another year without you has passed us, things that we want you to know we whisper to the night sky. The boys are growing up fast, we know you would be so proud of all their achievements.
Callum has just passed his driving test and Archie is so like you, he's incredibly creative. Life changes subtly as time goes on.

Mike Hickling
Passed peacefully away at home on September 26, 2022. Worked for 35 years at WSP Bristol (formerly Parsons Brown). Mike was much loved and he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Passed away peacefully at the BRI on September 19, 2022. A loving mum and nanny who will be sorely missed by her children Bernie, Teresa and Anthony, and their families.

Thank you to all the staff for the care mum has received on the Stroke Unit at the BRI and at Saffron Gardens which has been her home for the last 16 months.

Passed away peacefully at his home in Whithywood on Friday, September 16 aged 88. Much loved Husband of Margaret, Dad to Mark and Gary, Grampy and Great Grampy. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

Muriel Joyce Williams
Passed away at the Royal United Hospital, Bath on September 20, 2022 aged 85 years. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
A short committal service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 in the Woodland Chapel, Westerleigh Crematorium at 11:30am followed by a Thanksgiving Service at Upton Cheyney United Reform Church at 1pm Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Muriel for Macmillan Cancer Support may be given on the day.
