Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to fall across Greater Manchester and remain below the national average in all ten boroughs.
Latest data has revealed that cases are dropping in each of the boroughs, with some seeing a fall of as much as 40 per cent week on week.
Stockport continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester with a rate of 257.7 cases per 100,000 people as of February 24.

The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, where the rate is 130.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Oldham has also seen the biggest drop recently, with an infection rate decline of 40 per cent.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 193.7 cases per 100,000 population. The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 331.4 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 5,492 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on February 24.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 1780 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 24 per cent in the last week..
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on February 20, a total of 318 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is 107 fewer than the week before, a fall of 51%.
On Tuesday February 22, there were 26 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is one fewer than a week earlier.
Deaths
In the week ending February 24, a total of 24 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 19 fewer than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 899,931 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There has been a total of 8,757 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
Oldham
Oldham, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 311 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 24, which is 181 fewer than the previous 7 days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Oldham is now 130.9 cases per 100,000 people and is down by 37 per cent week-on-week.
Trafford
There were 577 positive tests over the last week in Trafford, which is 112 fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Trafford is down by 16 per cent and the latest infection rate is 242.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Bury
In Bury, the latest infection rate is 214.5 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone down by eight per cent.
A total of 409 people tested positive for Covid in Bury over the seven days ending on February 24, which is 34 fewer than the week before.
Manchester
The trend is down in Manchester, where there were 1146 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 24, which is 328 fewer than the previous 7 days. That is down by 22 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Manchester is 206.2 cases per 100,000 people, which is lower than the national average.
Rochdale
Rochdale is an area where the trend is down. The latest infection rate here is 141.3 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 316 cases recorded in Rochdale, which is 211 fewer than the previous week - a fall of 40 per cent.
Salford
"Salford recorded 560 coronavirus cases, which is 184 fewer than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Salford is 213.2 cases per 100,000 people and that is down 25 per cent week-on-week."
Tameside
Tameside saw a total of 422 cases in the week ending February 24, which is 154 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 27 per cent.
In Tameside, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 185.8 cases per 100,000 people.
Stockport
In Stockport, there were 758 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 24, which is 115 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Stockport has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate in Stockport is down slightly compared with the previous day and the week-on-week trend is down by 13 per cent.
Wigan
There was a fall of 37 per cent in cases in Wigan over the week ending February 24, and the infection rate is now 163.0 cases per 100,000 population.
Wigan recorded 539 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is 317 fewer than the previous week.
Bolton
In Bolton, the number of cases is down by 24 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 157.5 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 454 positive Covid-19 tests in Bolton in the week ending February 24, which was 144 fewer than the previous 7 days.
