ALL of Glasgow Subway’s services have been suspended, with passengers forced to get off trains during rush hour this morning.
Passengers travelling on both the inner and outer circles of the subway were forced to leave amid rush hour on Thursday morning after all services were suspended at around 8am.
SPT, which operates the subway, confirmed in a statement online that the services were suspended due to a “technical issue” in the control room.
The statement added that engineers were working to resolve the issue and have apologised to passengers for any inconvenience the outage has caused.
Scores of passengers have been seen standing outside the subway entrances at both Queen Street station and Buchanan Street.
Both the entrances were blocked with barriers which had signs that stated both the inner and outer circles services had been suspended.
The statement online read: “Apologies all, both Inner&Outer Circles are currently suspended due to technical issue in the control room.
“We are working to resolve the issue and will update when services resume. Apologies for the inconvenience.”
