The World Gourmet Festival, Bangkok's most prominent and longest-running annual culinary event, is to return to the city from Sept 6-11 at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel.
This year's line-up showcases an international selection of highly-acclaimed guest chefs including Peter Gast of Michelin-starred Graphite restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Davide Caranchini of Michelin-starred Materia restaurant in Como, Italy; Nicolas Isnard of Michelin-starred Auberge de la Charme in Prenois, France; and Amerigo Sesti of Michelin-starred J'AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain in Bangkok.
Also joining the event are chef Christian Martena of Clara in Bangkok; chef Sugio Yamaguchi of Botanique in Paris; chef Chudaree Debhakam of Baan Tepa in Bangkok; chef Claire Clark of Pretty Sweet in London; and chef Sutakon Suwannachot of Chocolatier Boutique Café in Bangkok.
The event will kick off with a gala dinner on Tuesday at the Anantara Siam Ballroom. It features a star-studded collaboration meal by the participating chefs at 8,500 baht per person inclusive of pairing wines.
During the festival, exclusive dinners, which cost 5,500-7,500 baht per person, by the chefs will be featured every night at Biscotti, Madison Steakhouse, Spice Market, Guilty and Shintaro restaurants. Throughout the week, refined confectionery by the patisserie masters will be available in the Lobby Lounge while cooking classes and wine master classes will also be featured.
The widely popular World Gourmet Sunday brunch buffet will wrap up the event on Sept 11. Prices start from 3,200 baht per person.
Every 600 baht from each dinner booked will be donated to the Foundation for the Welfare of Rajavithi-Girls' Home Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali.
