Ten tourists, a guide and a boat skipper were all safely rescued after a longtail boat capsized off Laem Hang Nak in Krabi province on Saturday.
Officials at Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park were alerted about the accident at about 11.15am on Saturday.
Park chief Saengsuri Songthong instructed park staff to immediately inspect the scene and assist those involved.
Upon arrival, they found a longtail boat overturned in the water. Crew from the speedboat Sayang Tour managed to pull all 12 people from the water — 10 tourists, one guide and the skipper.
The group was taken to Khlong Muang beach, where emergency response and rescue teams provided first aid and transported all 12 people to hospital for medical assessment and further treatment.
All 12 people were reported to be safe.
National park officials thanked all agencies and boat operators involved for their prompt assistance and support during the rescue operation.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
