'All isn't lost' - Daniel Sturridge sends Liverpool message after Tottenham Hotspur draw

Daniel Sturridge has shared an upbeat message following Liverpool's disappointing draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.

Luis Diaz rescued a point for the Reds after Son Heung-min had given Antonio Conte's side a second half lead at Anfield. The result put Liverpool top of the Premier League table on goal difference, but title rivals Manchester City can move three points clear should they beat Newcastle United today, with only three rounds of matches to play.

Despite the frustrating draw with Spurs, former Liverpool striker Sturridge, who formed a lethal partnership with Luis Suarez and came agonisingly close to bringing the title to Anfield in 2014, has delivered an optimistic message in a bid to keep supporters on a high as the club chases silverware on multiple fronts in the last knockings of a remarkable season.

Writing on Twitter, he said: "To all the red men out there. All isn’t lost. Big games ahead, a lot to play for, an unbelievable squad, backroom staff and ownership in tact. The club has improved immensely in the last 10 years. My optimism for what @LFC are and will become hasn’t wavered. #redordead"

Sturridge, 32, now plays for Perth Glory in the Australian A-League but is yet to find the net for his current team after suffering an injury plagued campaign. The Birmingham-born forward scored 50 goals for Liverpool in 116 Premier League appearances.
