All-Ireland champions Kilcoo are through to the Down SFC semi-finals, but they needed a penalty shoot-out to defeat Clonduff in Sunday’s quarter-final in Páirc Esler.
The game was a repeat of the first round clash between the sides with the Magpies scoring a resounding 14-point victory in Newry last month.
The Hilltown men were well below their best on that occasion and they regrouped to defeat Bryansford and Ballyholland to reach the last eight.

Ciaran McBride’s side led 1-3 to 0-3 at the end of a low-scoring first half on Sunday evening with Eamonn Brown finding the net for Clonduff.
However, the defending champions forced extra-time as the sides were level 1-6 to 0-9 at the end of the game.
The sides couldn’t be separated following the two periods of extra-time with both teams tagging on two further scores and penalties would be required.
Even in the shoot-out, they finished 3-3 after the first round of penalties - although Clonduff’s Conor Brown had a chance to eliminate the All-Ireland champions.
However, his effort was easily saved by Niall Kane, who had missed a penalty himself.
Paul Devlin stepped up again in sudden death to convert his second penalty while Aidan Carr’s spot-kick was saved by Kane as Kilcoo progressed to the last four.
On Friday night, defender Dean McLoughlin found the net as Loughinisland powered past Castlewellan 1-10 to 0-5 at Liatriom while, on Saturday, Mayobridge edged out Carryduff 0-9 to 0-7 at Castlewellan.
The draw for the semi-finals will take place after Monday night's last quarter-final between Burren and Warrenpoint in Newry (7.15pm).
