Soulframe Preludes has different factions for you to join on your adventures, and they can be an excellent source for grinding various rewards.
Introduced in Preludes 9, factions represent different attributes. Your faction is decided at the time of creating your character, and there are three different options. This guide will provide you with all the details regarding how factions work.

All factions in Soulframe
As of Preludes 12, there are three factions available for you to pick from.
- Alca's Children: You can obtain this faction by pledging to Spirit.
- Kith of Kings: You can get this faction by pledging to Courage
- Silent Rose: You can get this faction by pledging to Grace.
Every faction has a hidden enclave that you'll locate as part of your quests. You can then speak with the enclave's leader to get repeatable quests called Tales. Complete them to earn rewards and faction XP. While the quests are entirely random, they provide a steady stream of valuable items that allow you to craft. Your faction standing will also increase by gaining more Faction XP.

A higher faction standing will also increase the number of options you can find in the Favors section. You can purchase plenty of different items from the Faction Leader. Having a higher standing will increase the variety of items available for purchase.
How to change factions in Soulframe
You can have at most one faction active at any given time, but you can switch between the available options.
- To switch your faction, you'll need an applicable totem.
- You can craft the totem using fragments, and they're pretty easy to collect.
- Once you have the token, equip it from the inventory. Then speak with a representative, and you'll be able to switch.
