Across Leeds, heroes are being recognised for their hard work as part of the New Year's Honours list for 2023.
A total of 17 people from across the city have featured on the list and will be made members of the Order of the British Empire or be awarded medals from King Charles III as part of the first list of his reign. The awards can be given to individuals for their services to anything ranging from sports to education.
This recognises their dedication and hard work in improving their communities and areas of interest.
