Shares of Alkem Laboratories will be in focus heading into trade on Wednesday after witnessing large block transactions worth around Rs 930 crore on Tuesday. Promoter-linked entities reduced their stake, while several domestic mutual funds and foreign institutional investors emerged as buyers.
Data available on the NSE showed that 17.88 lakh shares were traded through the block deals at Rs 5,200 per share, totalling about Rs 930 crore. A combination of domestic and overseas institutional investors picked up the shares. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund was the largest buyer, acquiring 9.04 lakh shares, followed by HDFC Mutual Fund with 5.1 lakh shares.
