Alisson Becker has posted an emotional message after the Liverpool goalkeeper exited the 2022 World Cup with Brazil.
The Reds keeper was the first-choice stopper for the Brazil national team in Qatar. However, the Selecao were knocked out of the competition after a penalty shootout defeat to Croatia in the quarter-final.
Defeat in Qatar resulted in manager Tite confirming his exit soon after the match. Now Alisson will rest up before returning to Liverpool training later this month.

Alisson has now posted an emotional message on Instagram expressing his sadness at his country’s exit from the World Cup. The Brazilian went on to give his gratitude to those who supported him and his team-mates in the competition.
The Liverpool goalkeeper wrote: “Still too hard to cope with this loss, but at the same time I'm proud to have been part of this group, who fought and left everything they had on the field!
“Football has given me many joys, also given me sadness, and this is the greatest of them all! It's gonna take time to heal, but it will heal.
“We will move forward, rebuilding ourselves and making ourselves even stronger, because at the end of the day, this is the effect of failure on us when we face it head on, it STRENGTHENS us!
“Thanks to everyone who cheered for us in this cup! The dream lives on…”
