Liverpool have been left in a somewhat difficult position after they suffered Champions League defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Goals inside the opening 15 minutes from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah put the Reds in control only for a relentless catalogue of defensive mistakes contributing to them tumbling to a 5-2 defeat. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side must now equal the best comeback in the club's history to progress from the round of 16.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Anfield.

Alisson anger
Few would doubt Alisson Becker and Thibaut Courtois are among the best goalkeepers in the world. But Tuesday demonstrated even these greats are only human.
Having seen Courtois produce a spectacular blunder to gift Mohamed Salah Liverpool's second goal, Alisson delivered a similarly monumental mistake when his poor clearance struck Vinicius Jr and looped into the empty net for Real's game-turning equaliser.
So irate was Alisson, he took the ball and slammed it against one of the cameras in the back of the goal. Shades of Ian Rush in the 1986 FA Cup final - albeit with a rather different outcome.
Rudiger danger
The ruthless efficiency of Real Madrid in the second half meant everything they hit went into the Liverpool goal. Well, almost everything.
One Antonio Rudiger shot from range just missed Alisson's right-hand post and instead slammed into the head of an unsuspecting steward behind the goal who was momentarily rocked backwards before regaining his composure.
Knowing the good fortune long enjoyed by the European Super League enthusiasts, few would have been surprised had the ball bounced back into play and spun into the net.
Real duo praised
As followers of the most successful club in English football history, the Liverpool crowd knows a good player when they see one. And they were appreciative of two Real Madrid stars in particular on Tuesday.
Both Karim Benzema and Luka Modric were afforded warm applause from the Anfield faithful as they left the field on being substituted with three minutes of normal time remaining.
And there was also recognition of the home supporters from the travelling Real fans who chanted 'Liverpool' after the final whistle. To be fair, easy to be charitable when you've just won 5-2 away from home.

UEFA targeted
Liverpool fans, though, weren't quite so welcoming of UEFA. And for good reasons given the events when they had last faced Real Madrid in the final in Paris last May.
The Champions League anthem was jeered by the home support who later chanted "F*** UEFA" and also unfurled banners among which saw messages stating "UEFA LIARS", "Liverpool lifesavers", "Champions League of deniers" and "Menteurs" - which is French for 'liars' - along with images of French interior minister Gerald Darmanin and sports minister Amelie Oudea-Castera wearing Pinocchio noses.
And there's was a pointed sign which read "Due to inept UEFA organisation the match was delayed - further information finds UEFA guilty!". Quite.
