Alison Hammond teased by Phillip Schofield over extremely long 'moth' eyelashes

Alison Hammond was teased by her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield today over her incredibly long eyelashes, which he likened to "moths".

Phil was joined by Alison, who was filling in for Holly Willoughby, as he opened the show by asking where the draft was coming from.

Laughing, Alison fluttered her eyes as she asked: "Is it my eyelashes?"

"Can you feel it? Can you feel the draft?" he asked.

As she burst into giggles, Alison explained: "We were having a conversation about the fact that my eyelashes are the longest eyelashes that I have ever seen! Have a look at that!"

The camera zoomed in on Alison's face as she gasped: "Look out big they are!"

"You need to see them from the side," Phil quipped as the camera moved to capture her side profile.

Phil joked: "I would swear a moth had landed on your face!"

He later went on to announce that Holly would be returning to the show tomorrow, saying: "We're pleased to say that... she's negative and she's back tomorrow."

Alison burst into song as she belted out: "Celebrate good times, come on!"

Laughing, Phil quipped: "See you tomorrow!"

Grinning, Alison said: "Cheers, friend."

It comes after Phil explained yesterday that Holly kept testing positive with the virus and that it was "driving her crazy".

Opening the show today, he said: "Josie is back! I've been texting Holly all through the weekend and she's absolutely fine. She just has that incredibly persistent and annoying red line that won't go away.

"She'll be sitting at home. It's driving her crazy."
