Alison Hammond has earned public admiration with her outgoing personality and side-splitting celeb interviews on This Morning. She quickly became a fan favourite on Big Brother in 2002 and her ascension to the big time hasn't slowed down since, as she's capitalised on her success with a fruitful TV career that has now spanned two decades.
But one thing has passed by the Birmingham native - and that's a special someone to grow old and grey with, according to the Mirror. Alison - who marks her 48th birthday yesterday - was previously married to Manchester taxi driver Noureddine Boufaied.
Together, they had son Aiden, who was born on his mum's 30th birthday and turned 18 on Sunday. It was on ITV's This Morning that a pregnant Alison had a scan to find out the gender of her baby all those years ago.
The presenter previously told viewers: "I remember being on this show having a scan and they told me I was having a boy. On this show! I got my belly out and we scanned and there's Aidan… happy birthday my darling!"
Dishearteningly, her partnership with Noureddine ended in divorce, but in 2014 she fell in love with single dad and security guard Jamie Savage, who she met on social media.
A speedy engagement ensued but that didn't work out either, and it was with great sadness that Alison confirmed their separation three years later, confessing that the agony of their heartbreak had put her off finding love again.
"We split up. It's the worst news ever," she told OK! magazine. "It was really recent and I'm a bit gutted about it. You never know, we might get back together, but I'm not feeling it at the minute. I don't think I want anyone else now, I feel really sad. I'm going to have to eat a lot of chocolate to cheer me up!"
The ex-cinema worker was briefly involved with audio technician Ben Kusi, who she met on Celebs Go Dating earlier in 2020, and she previously told Woman's Own that she longed to fall in love and tie the knot once more.
"I would love to get married. I'd love to walk down the aisle in a big, white dress and have the fairy-tale wedding," she said. "I love being in love; I am a different person when I am. My heart sings – it's amazing."
As it transpires, Alison's dreams might still come true thanks to a mystery new love in her life. Keeping her cards close to her chest, the star recently let slip that she's been seeing an unnamed man for 18 months, and that he quite rightly thinks she's the best thing since sliced bread.
She told The Sun: "A year and a half I've been with him, and no one knew! He loves me to bits. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?!"
What's more, she told ITV stable mate Lorraine that she's finally found that special someone who can 'make my heart sing', and told how he, "enriches my life in ways I've never had before."
So could another wedding be on the cards? That's certainly what Alison is hoping for. "If he wants to pop the question, he can pop away," she told My Weekly magazine.
