Alison Hammond has got Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's backs amid the fury about their latest business venture.
Amid the backlash from a trailer promoting the couple's new Netflix series dropping, This Morning presenter Alison, 47, has lent her support to the pair and mused how they are going to be judged whatever they do.
As Netflix dropped a teaser for the series yesterday, many - including Piers Morgan - took issue with their timing, due to Prince Harry's brother and his wife currently conducting a mini tour over in American.
Prince William and Kate Middleton were subjected to mixed reception of cheers and boos when introduced to the packed crowd at a Boston Celtics basketball game during their tour of the US city earlier this year.
The Prince and Princess of Wales last night put on brave faces as boos could be heard across the TD Garden arena when their titles were announced and live pictures of them sitting court side were shown on the big screen above the court.
Some have mused how the timing of Prince Harry and Meghan's new Netflix series could have possibly swayed Americans' opinions of the future King of England and his wife, but Alison seemingly doesn't agree.
Before airing a clip of the teaser on This Morning earlier today, the Big Brother legend admitted: "I'm so excited. I Can't wait."
The trailer shown to ITV viewers this morning included the bit where Meghan can be heard saying: "When the stakes are this high doesn’t it make more sense to hear our stories from us?"
"Yes, Meghan I want to hear the story, everyone wants to hear it," Alison as the cameras returned to the This Morning studio after the teaser aired.
As guest Gyles Brandreth argued how Meghan and Harry previously claimed they wanted to keep their private life private, Alison leapt to their defence.
The NTA-nominated presenter pointed out how the couple are under intense scrutiny, due to the world watching their every move, and mused how they are "damned if they do, damned if they don't."
The teaser for the upcoming Netflix series shows never-before-seen photos of Prince Harry and Meghan, who are parents to Archie and Lilbet, as well as snaps from their childhoods.
"Harry & Meghan. A Netflix Global Event. Coming soon, only on Netflix," the streaming giant captioned the trailer shared on Twitter yesterday lunchtime.
The Duchess of Sussex previously revealed how the documentary series will delve into the couple's love story as she said how viewers can expect "the piece of my life I haven't been able to share, that people haven't been able to see – our love story".
Fans of the couple quickly replied to the tweet, declaring how they will certainly be tuning into the bombshell series later this month.
"After everything these two have been through together the passed 6 years I love the fact that they're able to tell their own story," one future viewer wrote online as the trailer dropped.
"All the hate on this thread shows just how relevant they are so keep on hating. We love them over here," another added, as a third quipped: "This about to have some people mad....and I'm here for it."
