Alison Hammond is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend, her soon-to-be father-in-law confirmed.
The This Morning presenter has kept her relationships close to her chest throughout her professional career but her potential father-in-law may have just dropped a bombshell on her behalf. Colin Hawkins told MailOnline that Alison and his son, Ben, have already "proposed to one another".
He said: "They are really happy but they haven't got everything sorted just yet but they are both talking about marriage, that is true.

'What I do know is that when it happens none of us will know about it because it'll be done in private. That much they have told me. I love Alison to bits. She's the nicest woman we've ever met. I would love to tell you a load of stories and they are all good, but I can't because she's asked us to keep things private.
Alison is said to have fallen for Ben almost two years ago after hiring the professional gardener for a job at her home in the West Midlands. The Hawkins family adore the 48-year-old as Colin added how "lovely" it'll be to officially welcome her to the clan.
He added: "If you go to her when you're in trouble, she will help you, that's the way she is. I know they will get it together and I won't be there to see it but it will be a very proud day for me. I will be Alison's father-in-law and that'll be lovely."
The Liverpool Echo has contacted Alison Hammond's rep for comment.
