Alison Hammond is engaged to her secret boyfriend.
Alison's future father-in-law has confirmed wedding bells are on the horizon for the telly star.
He revealed that his son Ben Hawkins and the 48-year-old presenter - who were pictured together for the first time this week - have both “proposed to one another” as he called Alison the “nicest woman we've ever met”.
Colin Hawkins, 72, has told of how happy Ben and Alison are as he revealed they are engaged.
“I do know they have both proposed to one another but there are no rings that I know of,” he told the Mail Online.
The newly engaged couple were snapped together for the first time last week, as she left Ben's home in Birmingham.
Alison was all smiles when she left her beau's house.
The loved-up pair are reported to have fallen for each other after Alison hired the handsome gardener to look after the grounds of her home in the West Midlands.
The This Morning presenter is reported to have hired the good looking groundskeeper two years ago to look after the land surrounding her house, before the pair sparked a connection.
Alison, who admitted on This Morning she has a "special someone", is said to have spent Valentine’s Day with the green-fingered new man and it's reported that they have been dating for around a year-and-a-half.
Ben's father Colin has told the Mail that the couple are "really happy" and have had conversations about marriage.
But Alison's future father-in-law has admitted that no one will know when they do choose to tie the knot - not even him.
"It'll be done in private. That much they have told me," he told the publication.
He gushed over the telly personality: "I love Alison to bits. She's the nicest woman we've ever met."
He went on to say that he would love to spill lots of "all good" stories about the TV star, but won't as Alison has requested privacy.
He continued to praise: "If you go to her when you're in trouble, she will help you, that's the way she is. I know they will get it together and I won't be there to see it but it will be a very proud day for me. I will be Alison's father-in-law and that'll be lovely."
