Newly married Indian film actress, Alia Bhatt made an appearance at the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) on Monday and left everyone impressed with her stylish formal look. But netizens were quick to notice that her look of the day was similar to one flaunted by Deepika Padukone, in 2019. Have a look!
Alia picked up a formal caped pantsuit by popular from the shelves of designer Harith Hashim's label Harithand. The suit featured a notch lapel blazer with a floor-length cape attached to the long sleeves and front. It also featured a buttoned-up front, and a V-neckline. Harith is popular for his minimalist sophistication, which came across well in Alia's outfit of the day.
Styled by Ami Patel, Alia accessorised the look with a intricate platinum, diamond and emerald neckpiece with matching earrings. Alia tied her hair in a ponytail.
Well, Deepika sported a similar look when she unveiled her wax statue at Madamme Tussauds in 2019. Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika wore a cape pantsuit by popular Italian fashion designer, Alberta Ferretti.
Deepika accessorised the look with long diamond earrings and, shimmery silver eyeshadow, and nude shade make-up. Her dress had a long flowy cape. She completed her look diamond rings and earrings along with a middle-parted low bun.
Some netizens started calling out Alia for "copying" Deepika's style. One Instagram user wrote, "Dress doesn’t go well with her personality" "God!!! Copying Deepika and how," another one wrote, "Her personality is too odd for this amazing outfit sorry but I said what I said."
