Alfredo Morelos stuck in post-Rangers limbo with no transfer deals on table

Former Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has revealed he remains stuck in football limbo and is no closer to finding a new club.

The 27-year-old Colombian hitman left Ibrox after his contract expired this summer after scoring 124 goals in total during his six-year stint at Ibrox.

But he's yet to find a new team despite clubs across Europe being well into their pre-season training build-up before the commencement of new campaigns.

However, Morelos, in an interview in his homeland, insists he is relaxed about his situation and remains confident he will find a new club soon.

He said: "I have made it clear I want to stay in Europe and play football there.

"We are currently working towards making that happen.

"No, I still don't have anything and there is nothing close, but hopefully something interesting will come up.

"I am calm and relaxed about the situation. I have been able to spend a lot of time with my family for a change, which has been nice.

"I want to play in a good European league which my family would enjoy.

"I am looking forward to the new season, just as I did every single season when I was at Rangers.

"At Rangers, I had great years there and I am proud of how it went for me when I was there.

"My favourite memory was winning the league, but I was pleased with how I did in every season.

"Now it is just a case of waiting for a new opportunity elsewhere."

The Rangers Review team is taking the hugely-popular morning briefing LIVE at New Edmiston House on July 28.

And, we're delighted to announce that none other than Barry Ferguson will join our top team of Jonny McFarlane, Joshua Barrie, Stevie Clifford and Derek Clark.

The doors will open at 6.30pm giving you time to grab a beer or soft drink before we head into an hour of debate and chat ahead of the new season; expect new signing assessments, tactical analysis, predictions and the usual banter. Then, Derek will host an exclusive chat with Barry, gaining insight into his two trophy-laden spells at the club and his take on Michael Beale's rebuild.

Tickets start at just £21.50 and can be purchased HERE.
