Alfredo Morelos Rangers tribute posted by wife as she shows off Ibrox records ahead of exit

Alfredo Morelos is set to depart Rangers in the coming weeks with his time at Ibrox over.

Michael Beale confirmed in his post-match press conference following the 1-0 win over Aberdeen that the Colombian hitman would be moving on this summer with his contract coming to an end. The Light Blues are set for a major revamp ahead of the new season as they bid to end Celtic's recent dominance under Ange Postecoglou.

Morelos is the big name departure with team-mate Ryan Kent also looking likely to join him in moving on for free while key decisions are to be made on the likes of Allan McGregor, Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Filp Helander and Scott Arfield with their deals also up. Fringe men like Scott Wright and Jon McLaughlin are linked also with exits.

Rangers have four more games between now and the end of the Premiership campaign with an Old Firm derby at home to Celtic next up. That would prove to be the final time Morelos would face the Hoops should he be named from the start of appear from the bench.

Beale wasn't impressed with his cameo display last time out stating: "Alfredo is obviously going to be moving on. You saw a difference when he came on and not a positive difference or change in energy. I sometimes think we are the most wasteful team I’ve seen. We miss unbelievable chances."

Despite this season being a poor one overall for Morelos, he has had many highs in a Rangers shirt with wife Yesenia taking to Instagram to hail those achievements after the news of his summer departure broke over the weekend.

Uploading an image to Instagram and tagging in the Rangers striker, it stated all all the records the 26-year-old holds including being Rangers' all-time European top goalscorer, UEFA's most goals scored before Christmas and consecutive European matches scored in amongst others.

Legendary Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson also delivered an honest assessment of Morelos' time at the club live on air. He told Go Radio: "For £1million, I think he's been good but could have done better. That's my honest opinion. I've always liked Morelos.

"See when he was on it, he was fit and his attitude was spot on, he was a real handful. This season? He's been disappointing, no doubt about it.

"I think the best way to do it is, shake his hand and part ways. But he'll look back in two or three years and think to himself: 'I could have done better at Rangers'. No doubt in my mind about it."
