Michael Beale revealed Alfredo Morelos will definitely leave Rangers this summer, ending his eventful six-year stay at Ibrox.
There has been speculation that the Colombian would be departing Govan and now Beale has confirmed the 26-year-old is for the off. Morelos signed from HJK Helsinki for £1.5million when Pedro Caixinha was in charge of the club.
Morelos has bagged 78 goals during his time at Rangers and played a huge part in the title success under Steven Gerrard. However, he has been a shadow of that player this season and Beale even aimed a dig at the South American for his performance after he came off the bench in the 1-0 win over Aberdeen at Ibrox that was achieved thanks to Todd Cantwell’s strike.
Beale said: “Morelos is moving on. I think you saw the difference in energy in the forward area when Morelos came on. And not in a positive way. We'll need a focal point to the team, for sure. Antonio is not fit at the moment. Fashion and Rabbi gave us a different type of frontline today."
