Alfredo Morelos has been linked with a plethora of clubs since leaving Rangers at the end of last month and now he has links to Azerbaijan.
Throughout his Gers career, the Colombian hitman was linked with clubs such as Marseille, Everton, Sevilla and more as he continued to impress on the European stage alongside excelling - for the large part - in the Scottish Premiership. But disciplinary and fitness issues spread over his six-year spell were present and when trust finally became too much of an issue for Michael Beale, Morelos was shunted to the bench in his final days at Ibrox.
It remains to be seen just where Morelos will end up, though with no transfer fee, interest could ramp up in his services from countries across the world. And that appears to be happening - with a move to Azerbaijan potentially in the offing.
According to reports in the country, an unnamed club in the Azerbaijani Premier Division has made an offer for Morelos. It is not known which club has made the offer.
A player who could have commanded an eight-figure fee in his Ibrox prime, a move to the Azerbaijani Premier League would see him move into relative obscurity, with just one Champions League spot available in the Azerbaijan top-flight. Other players released by Rangers have already landed new clubs, with Ryan Kent at Fenerbahce and Scott Arfield in the MLS with Charlotte FC.
