Alfredo Morelos is already on his way out of Rangers for free- and there's no way for the club to force contracts on stars to avoid future situations.
The Premiership side were in a similar boat last season when Connor Goldson took his contract talks down to the wire before agreeing new terms. But similar has not transpired this season, with Morelos running down his contract after failing to come to terms with Rangers during a disappointing term.
Ryan Kent is in a similar boat and Turkish reports have claimed he is close to agreeing a free transfer to Fenerbahce.
