Alexandro Bernabei has touched down in Glasgow as he prepares to complete his £3.75 million, five-year move from Lanus to Celtic with his medical due before the weekend.
The 21-year-old appeared to be pictured arriving at Glasgow airport after setting off from Argentina on Wednesday night. The Lanus full back was photographed at Buenos Aires airport as he prepared to embark on his journey to Scotland. And he looked the part - in the snap uploaded by Raymy McGrath to Twitter - as he was pictured in a green adidas track jacket as he smiled alongside a supporter who grabbed the snap.
Keen Celtic fans even tracked his flight from South America via Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport where he caught a connecting flight to Scotland and photographers were waiting to meet the highly-rated South American youngster. Bernabei will now see his prospective new Parkhead home and the Hoops Lennoxtown training ground with a medical planned before he can complete the formalities of his transfer from Lanus.
The Scottish Premiership champions have already signed Cameron Carter-Vickers and Benjamin Siegrist but manager Ange Postecoglou is looking to make further additions to his squad as he looks to retain the title and make an impact in the Champions League. Left-back has been a position where Celtic have been looking to strengthen and Bernabei fits the bill with his attacking style making him perfectly suited to Postecoglou’s swashbuckling Celtic side.
