Argentinian Alexandro Bernabei is set to arrive in Scotland before the end of the week to complete his medical ahead of signing five-year deal at Celtic, according to a report in his homeland.
The 21-year-old was captured on video saying his farewells at current club Lanus who have agreed to sell the attacking full back to the Scottish Premiership champions in a deal worth just short of £4 million. Bernabei is due to fly from South America to Scotland where he will become Celtic’s third permanent signing of the summer following deals for Cameron Carter-Vickers and Benjamin Siegrist, the former Dundee United goalkeeper who was paraded at Parkhead.
Respected journalist Cesar Luis Merlo wrote on Twitter: “Alexandro Bernabei, a 21-year-old winger, will arrive in Scotland this week. Once he has passed the medical check-ups he will sign for five years with Celtic. Lanus sold 90 per cent of the economic rights and kept 10 per cent.”
