Alexandre Lacazette sends cheeky Instagram message after Arsenal's dramatic win over Wolves

Alexandre Lacazette was at the heart of Arsenal’s celebrations as the Gunners secured a dramatic late win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday.

The Frenchman proved to be the match-winner for Mikel Arteta ’s men at the Emirates Stadium - albeit his powerful drive taking the final touch off of Wolves stopper Jose Sa.

The strike, and indeed the victory, represented a huge boost to Arsenal and their hopes of returning to the Champions League as they edged out a direct rival for a European place.

It was also the Gunners’ second win over Bruno Lage’s men this month having also squeezed past them 1-0 at Molineux only weeks ago.

With Lacazette finding the net in practically the final throes of the game, celebrations were indeed a sight to behold - an intriguing turn of events considering Ruben Neves ’ complaints at Arsenal’s behaviour in the Black Country.

However, no such verdict was forthcoming this time around and Lacazette was sure to fire a dig at the Portuguese midfielder following the final whistle.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “We believed until the last second! So proud of my team, the atmosphere was unreal tonight!!

“How’s that for a celebration”

Lacazette, now 30, was also pictured getting fully involved in post-match celebrations with his side.

After referee Martin Atkinson had brought the game to a close, he was in a jubilant mood and elected to embrace a number of teammates including Eddie Nketiah, Aaron Ramsdale and Cedric Soares.

Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta was also the grateful recipient of a Lacazette hug, with the Spaniard having seen his striker secure what could be a vital three points, despite seemingly missing out on the goal.
