NEW YORK — Alexander Skarsgard — known for his roles in “True Blood,” “Big Little Lies” and most recently “Succession” — has confirmed that he’s a proud new papa.
During an interview at Monday’s Season 4 premiere of “Succession” in New York City, the 46-year-old actor revealed that his girlfriend, actress and director Tuva Novotny, recently gave birth to their baby.
Skarsgard told Entertainment Tonight that he’s enjoying fatherhood, and even showed off a stuffed animal he received as a gift earlier in the night.
Though he didn’t confirm when exactly the baby was born, Skarsgard and Novotny were reportedly spotted out with a newborn during a dinner date in mid-November. He also didn’t reveal the sex or name of the baby.
The child is the first for Alexander Skarsgard while the second for Novotny.
During last year’s Elle Fashion Awards, Novotny, who shares a daughter from a previous relationship, showed off her baby bump, People reported.
While details of the couple’s relationship are scarce, Skarsgard was previously romantically linked to Hollywood stars such as Evan Rachel Wood, Kate Bosworth, Alexa Chung and Amanda Seyfried.
He portrays tech CEO Lukas Matsson on “Succession,” which premieres its fourth and final season on Sunday.
