Eddie Howe does not expect Alexander Isak to be back until December after suffering a thigh problem. After picking up a knock in training with Sweden the striker is now nursing a fresh blow.
It leaves Howe without his £63millon man for at least two months. After the goalless draw with Man United, Howe said: “Alex has reinjured his thigh. It’s a very similar injury to the first one that he picked up with Sweden.
“He’s going to be out for a period of time – we probably won’t see him before the break for the World Cup.”

Howe also confirmed that Allan Saint-Maximin would be missing for the next clutch of games.
He said: “Maxi has a very slight irritation of his hamstring. On its own, that would be very small and would probably just be a few days out, but the problem we have is that because it’s the third time he’s done it now, we’re going to have to be very careful with his return to play. That’s a blow.”
Howe also revealed that Joe Willock didn’t start after complaining of illness in the build-up to the game.
He said: “Joe didn't train for the last few days. He's been very unwell, and travelled here separately but made himself available - and credit to him for doing that. I trusted him to come on the pitch to deliver for us in that short period of time.”
