Former Rangers star Alex Rae was involved in a heated touchline spat during Reading's draw with Norwich in the English Championship.
Rae is number two to long-term pal Paul Ince at the Royals and ended up in a scuffle with opposition striker Jordan Hugill during the 1-1 draw at Carrow Road on Friday night. It appeared that he took offence to Hugill as he went to warm up then he proceeded to purposely collide into the Ibrox hero which resulted in a tense exchange of words.
Rae is seen to goad the attacker as he channelled a ruthless persona that earned him admirers from his own supporters during his uncompromising playing days. Footage shared on social media has since appeared to show Rae slating Hugill for running off and continuing with his warm up alongside his team-mates. The hosts had led through Adam Idah after a clever assist from former Celtic striker Teemu Pukki but Rae's side salvaged a late point after Andy Carroll dispatched from the spot. The result leaves Reading in 10th place, but only out of a play-off spot through their negative goal difference.
