Alex Iwobi believes Everton’s players are fighting for Frank Lampard and has called on his side to use their upcoming break to regroup in a bid to turn their season around.
Everton’s poor run of form continued on Saturday afternoon as they were beaten by West Ham United. Two first-half goals from Jarrod Bowen handed his side a 2-0 win at the London Stadium.
The Blues remain level on points with bottom-placed Southampton, who beat Everton last week, and have not won a game since October. Everton have also lost six of their past seven Premier League games.

Farhad Moshiri, Everton’s majority shareholder, and the rest of the club’s board were in attendance at the London Stadium on Saturday. It was the first time Moshiri had attended a game involving the Goodison Park club since October 2021.
Due to being knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester United earlier this month, Everton are now without a game this weekend, and don’t return to action until February 4 when they welcome Arsenal to Goodison.
"We were unfortunate not to get the result, we keep pushing but it wasn't our day. If we don't take our chances we will get punished,” Iwobi said post-match.
"We discussed about getting on top of them because they are in the same situation as us but unfortunately it was not the case.
"The ownership is on us as a team, we attack and defend together. We still have half the season left and a lot of improvement to do. Frank Lampard made a few changes after the break, told us to keep pushing and be more dynamic.
"(Pressure) is nothing new to us, we were in the same situation last season. We have a break coming up and we have to regroup. It is not just the manager who takes responsibility, the players are fighting for him and the club."
