Everton star Alex Iwobi has been recognised for his brilliant form so far this season with a nomination for September's Premier League Player of the Month.
The 26-year-old has played 90 minutes of every single Blues match so far this season, including their Carabao Cup second round victory over Fleetwood Town last month. In September, he performed well in the league meetings with Merseyside rivals Liverpool and West Ham.
Iwobi registered an assist for Neal Maupay 's strike at home to the Hammers that earned Frank Lampard 's side their first victory in the league this term and elevated them to 13th in the table ahead of the international break. The assist last weekend means he's now been the provider of three of Everton 's last four goals in all competitions.

Iwobi has been nominated for the award alongside Bournemouth's Philip Billing, Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne, Tottenham's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey and Manchester United's Marcus Rashford. Supporters can vote for the Everton star here .
The ECHO understands the club have now opened talks with the player over a new deal. He's currently under contract until 2024 but it's clear Everton hope he will extend his stay at Goodison Park and continue his resurgence under Lampard.
Iwobi has previously hailed the manager as a key reason for his upturn in form in 2022. "I feel like ever since the new manager came in and I came back from the Africa Cup of Nations it was almost like a new challenge and a new start," he told the ECHO during the club's pre-season tour of the US this summer.
"When I came into training I felt I was capable. I was hungry to get myself back into the team and the gaffer appreciated that. Luckily he had that faith and belief in me and I was able to do what he wanted me to do and able to help the team get results. It was good for me when he came in, it has been helpful for my career."
