Striker Alex Greive has broken new ground for the Buddies after becoming their most capped international player.
The St Mirren forward went into New Zealand's friendly clash with China in Auckland having picked up all seven caps of his caps so far while a player in Paisley.
One more cap would see him overtake Saints club legends Billy Thomson and Iain Munro, who both played seven times for Scotland whilst donning the black and white stripes.
And while he had to wait for the opportunity, Greive did eventually pick up that special eighth cap as a second half substitute - making him the most capped international player while turning out for St Mirren.
He has the chance to extend his record to nine when New Zealand take on China again this weekend, with the countries meeting again on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the international break last weekend, Greive said: “I always look forward to international breaks because I love playing for New Zealand.
"It’s a good chance to get home and play in front of friends and family. I’m buzzing for it, to be honest."
Alex Gogic and Keanu Baccus will be looking to chase down Greive's total during this international break, with Gogic likely to be in action against Scotland this Saturday and Baccus hoping to face Ecuador tomorrow.
