Alex Eala Goes From the US Open to New York Fashion Week in Three Distinct Looks

Filipina tennis star Alexandra Eala made her New York Fashion Week debut this week, attending three Spring 2027 presentations following her run at the 2026 US Open. Eala appeared at Tory Burch on September 10, followed by Michael Kors and Calvin Klein the following day.

Her first appearance came at Tory Burch's Spring/Summer 2027 presentation at Gotham Hall, where she attended as an athlete guest and sat in the front row. Eala's NYFW debut came shortly after she reached the third round of the US Open, her first time reaching that stage of the tournament.

Eala Opens Fashion Week in Tory Burch

For Tory Burch, Eala wore a red blazer with black buttons over a blue-gray striped shirt, pairing the top with wide brown slacks. Philstar reported the outfit details after Eala attended the presentation, where she shared the front row with actress Amanda Seyfried and singer Lauryn Hill.

Eala also spoke about her connection to the brand. According to Philstar, she said her mother had collected a number of Tory Burch shoes while she was growing up, adding that she was excited and a little nervous to attend her first fashion week.

The tennis star also discussed the relationship she sees between sports and fashion. "Sports and fashion are common in a way where you get to express yourself and you get to show your personality," Eala said, according to Philstar.

Her interest in fashion is not entirely new. Earlier this year, Eala attended the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid, where she wore a Filipiniana-inspired look, and she has previously discussed incorporating Filipino elements into her outfits while traveling for tournaments.

A Black Look for Michael Kors

Eala continued her NYFW appearances the following day at the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2027 presentation at the Museum of Modern Art's Sculpture Garden. For the show, she changed into a little black dress styled with matching gloves and kitten heels, according to Philstar.

Eala sat in the front row for the Michael Kors presentation, where she was also photographed with other guests. WTA reported that former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who had previously praised Eala's interest in fashion, was also in attendance.

The Michael Kors appearance gave Eala a markedly different color palette from her Tory Burch debut. Instead of the red, blue-gray and brown combination from the previous evening, she opted for an entirely black outfit with the dress, gloves and heels.

Calvin Klein Brings the NYFW Run to a Close

Eala's third confirmed NYFW appearance was at Calvin Klein's Spring 2027 presentation by creative director Veronica Leoni. For the event, she wore a relaxed white long-sleeved button-down shirt with off-white slacks and pointed-toe heels, GMA News reported.

WTA also confirmed Eala's attendance at the Calvin Klein event, noting that she appeared in an all-white look alongside guests including actress Sadie Sink and singer Tate McRae.

Calvin Klein subsequently highlighted Eala on its Instagram account, sharing her appearance from the presentation. GMA News reported that the brand's post gave Eala a dedicated spotlight following the event.

Across her three NYFW appearances, Eala wore distinctly different looks: tailored red and brown at Tory Burch, a little black dress with gloves at Michael Kors, and a relaxed all-white ensemble at Calvin Klein. Her Fashion Week debut came immediately after her US Open campaign and marked a new public fashion appearance for one of the Philippines' most prominent young tennis players.
