The moment, captured by the Associated Press, became one of the standout images from a show that reimagined the runway itself as a Gucci boutique, with models entering as though walking in off the street and pausing at mirrors, jewelry cabinets and clothing rails along the way.
Titled "The Store Show," the collection marked Demna's sophomore runway outing for Gucci since his February debut. Consani's gum-chewing walk fit squarely into its arc. Where his first collection leaned hard into overt, body-conscious sexuality, this season traced a single wardrobe from country-club polish to nightclub excess. Consani's cut-out dress arrived toward the end of that unraveling, part of a run of tight leather minidresses and thigh-skimming hemlines that closed out a more restrained, equestrian-inflected opening.
